Queering the NSPCC? FINAL

Featured

The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children dates back well over a century.  It was granted a Royal Charter, by Queen Victoria, in 1895.  The NSPCC is the only UK charity which has been granted statutory powers under the Children Act 1989, allowing it to apply for care and supervision orders for children at risk.  Childline, the charity founded by Esther Rantzen, became part of the NSPCC in 2006.

After looking at the ChildLine Content on Porn;  I was moved to examine their other content.  I focussed specifically on LGBTQ+ content and you can find these blogs all headed Queering the NSPCC.

In summary the Lesbian content is extremely limited.  Where two females are included the word Lesbian seems to be verboten.  Even the Gay males, who do get more coverage, seem obliged to reference the fluidity of their sexual orientation, identify as Queer  but avoid any expression of an, exclusively, same sex orientation.

Here is a summary of their content and how much time it devotes to sexual orientation.  I have been very generous in assigning the label Lesbian to the two I cover here.  They are clearly female couples but do not mention the word Lesbian.   Two of the posts left me in doubt about the sexuality of the interviewees.  Asexual, we are told, covers 1% of the population and yet is given two YouTubes. Trans coverage is given 21% of the content and all the LGBTQ+ invariably foregrounds the T.   The content for Gay males is higher but many pay lip service to the idea of Gendered Attraction, as opposed to being confident in proclaiming their exclusive sexual attraction to biological men.

Here is a spreadsheet of all the content with some notes, where appropriate.  NSPCC Content

Below the NSPCC endorses controversial charity Mermaids which advocates for “Trans Kids”, campaigns for earlier medical intervention, and suggests children struggling with Gender Identity issues need to be safeguarded from parents.  Mermaids think any parent who fails to agree  their child is #BornInTheWrongBody is abusive and places their child in danger of suicide. They do this by referencing extremely dubious statistics. 👇  Suicide in the Trans Community

Do the NSPCC also agree with this characterisation of, parents of kids with Gender Dysphoria, as abusive if they dont’ medicalise?  Their content is replete with the notion that sex  is merely “assigned at birth” and they are confident signposting children to Mermaids.

2988B861-9203-4D9B-8B6A-FE36A51CC469

They are also meeting with Stonewall. Once a venerable advocate for Gay rights. Now in total thrall to the Trans Lobby. Peter Wanless is the head of the NSPCC and Gender Identity Ideology has been peddled to vulnerable kids on his watch. 👇

6223E297-234C-49CB-BD0E-D12A293D24F6

I also had a delve into any content about women’s rights and unearthed this content.  Even in content about women we are obliged to pay homage to the idea of Self-Identifying Women/Men. Abject nonsense about “people with periods”.

Queer Theory in Practice.

The NSPCC have also received some media coverage today for a Nude Family Swim which is an event at Waterworld in Stoke.  Apparently the NSPCC were involved in developing the Safeguarding policy.   I wish we lived in a world where childhood innocence was protected but it is naive to, implicity,  endorse activities such as these 👇

I doubt I would have been moved to look at the NSPCC were it not for the responses they issued to people raising concerns about some disturbing social media activity by one of their employees.  Full Story is below.

This story of James Making, a former employee,  of the NSPCC until he was eventually Let Go is illustrative of how far this charity has lost its way,  James  was responsible for the short-lived role of Munroe Bergdorf, a trans activist, at the NSPCC. He then became known for more notorious activities at his place of work.   This one story ought to have been a wake up call for the NSPCC but I fear they are unable to change course.  I include this woeful tale because it is indicative of how the adoption of Gender Identity Ideology and the obsession with LGBTQ+ has clouded the Charity’s judgement.  When you make any community into a modern day “Priest class”  your critical faculties become dimmed.

James Making & Munroe Bergdorf

I began to look at the NSPCC following an incident involving an employee who clearly stated his employer on his Social Media accounts. He then posted footage of himself masturbating, in leather fetish gear, at work.  Not content with this he added a clear statement that he was doing this at a Children’s Charity.  Clearly  this detail about the context was intended to  further  titillate  his audience.

8D8B96A1-274A-4366-9CB2-E0C30FFFDCEC

James was the NSPCC employee responsible for hiring a Transgender model/ activist as an advocate for the charity.  Munroe had previously lost other roles after previous social media activity came to light. L’oréal, The Labour Party & the BFI were three such roles. Once the NSPCC post was announced the public backlash began. Munroe presents a highly sexualised image of what they believe to be female presenting. Potentially more worrying were public invitations for troubled children to contact them directly. As many people pointed out this showed a naïveté about safeguarding children. The model had posed for playboy, and solicited messages from “transkids

The unsuitability of this role model is amply illustrated here 👇

2DC15279-9738-4E3E-95EE-9D61EB67FD95

Munroe also posted some invitations for children to contact them directly, via social media, in an ill-advised approach to #ChildSafeguarding.

C92FC45D-2593-4A04-B355-B93E679B2D3F

The NSPCC dispensed shed with Munroe’s services, not without a hint of denial about their role, despite having publicly announced it.9DC38320-6DF6-4796-909C-A024FC5CEE2A

Later they would issue a grovelling apology, to Munroe, for the manner of the sacking.

Here is the statement  👇

D0FFE026-9A72-45E8-B67E-B5625C67A6FB

When the masturbatory antics of Mr Making were revealed the NSPCC’s Immediate response, astonishingly, was to berate people for raising concerns! It also accused them displaying homophobia and attacking their staff. Other high profile Guardian writers joined in 👇

87401763-7D7A-423E-9E17-3ED263E94543

So let me reiterate. A man was posting, publicly, video of himself masturbating on the premises of a Charity, whose remit is to protect children. Observers had no means of determining his sexuality, His actions were raising  red flags all over the place.🚩

Here are a couple of clips from that article and one (censored) from the post made by Mr Making.

The NSPCC remained silent for some time until it emerged that the employee had been sacked.

The  NSPCC openly proclaims  that it’s priority is their  LGBTQ credentials.  My reading of their content shows they are committed to the Q at the expense of the rights of people who fought to gain legal protections for their sexual orientation. 5772232A-D7CD-451C-8453-76F7387F46EF

Queering the NSPCC? Part 10: Heteronormativity

What does Heteronormativity & Heterosexuality mean?

This episode features an interview with Calum McSwiggan who we met earlier in Queering the NSPCC? Part Three.

476657CC-8114-4748-A0D7-B3B0C2C97B6F

Calum is a Gay male, here he is in conversation with Beckii, a young woman whose sexuality is not made explicity.  Here they team up to  teach us the meaning of “heteronormativity” and “heterosexual”.

You can watch it Here

You can read a transcript here: Challenging Heteronormativity Child Line

First off.  Its not a bad idea to challenge assumptions that *everybody* is heterosexual.  There is every chance a kid who doesn’t perform sex sterotypical behaviours is not heterosexual.  I don’t propose to expound on whether this is hard-wired, #BornThisWay, or nurture. It is, however, one of the earliest signs a kid  will grow up Gay. This early sign allows parent’s, like me, to signal acceptance in a number of ways.  For me, I always talked about futher relationships in terms of “she” or “he” so  my son knew this was perfectly acceptable and supported by his parents.  So, on the face of it, challenging heteronormativity is no bad thing. FAE142C7-A39A-499F-97EB-EFE351DB8958

The conversation explores the impact of  expectations of heterosexuality on kids who have a sense they are different /  don’t conform to gendered expectations for their sex.  One of the main concerns with this topic is the conflation of  early signs of future homosexuality with being “trans”.  The interviewer  does this early on with the statement below. Here an effeminate boy,  or a masculine female, immediately calls into question, not just their sexuality, but their sex/trans status.  It is this way of thinking that can have a disastrous impact on the gay community.  What could be more “heteronormative” than equating same sex orientation with the idea that you may just be “trans”.  If an effeminate boy, attracted to males,  is really a woman does that not make him straight?  Is this not the ultimate in elevating the new version of heterosexual as the “norm”?4F4C37FE-E4DE-4A4E-92B0-5DD4154DC28F

Calum continues the theme. “We’re brought up in a society where you are kind of expected to be cisgender, you are expected to be heterosexual”.  What he fails to see is that Gender Identity ideology  puts a massive question mark over the sex of, gender non-conforming, Gay males and Lesbians. Even  though we know this behaviour is one of the earliest clues  someone may grow up homosexual, we are offering the alternative narrative they may be #BornWrong.  How is that progress?

I have written about this many times here is one piece  The Woke Gay Conversion Therapy?

I have also written about a project funded by the Government Equality Office which illustrates how this approach is being used in Primary Schools. That Equaliteach Project

Another common theme, on my blog, is the impact on child safeguarding.  Anyone following my work will know I have a Gay son who also has Gender Identity issues.  As a school boy he did not use girls spaces. (He still doesn’t).  His circle of friends was wholly female.  When sleepovers became a feature, of these friendships,  he was excluded.  His exclusion was the parents prerogative. It was never driven by unkindness. They had daughters and they did not know my son. We both respected the parent’s decisions.  He was included in one sleepover and he was delighted. The parents knew him and it was their decision.  I am not going to lie, I secretly had a bit of a cry when he was invited.  However an individual invitation should not translate into blanket inclusion. It  should not be a default expectation. (Fun fact. He was 11 and those, sugar and spice, girls sent him home with manually pierced ears!)

Anyway, I digress, Gemma here doesn’t get #ChildSafeguarding and, by extension, neither do #ChildLine .  This is not about heteronormativity it’s about girls’ rights to set boundaries and not to be shamed about necessary exclusions.  👇D38104D1-0537-4C00-9AAF-D524C5C023C1

Again one of the central difficulties is that we are telling people that you can neither tell anyone’s sexuality or gender by the way they present themselves.  This is problematic for all sorts of reasons, and not true, wholly, in either case. Gaydar is a thing and thank goodness it is for the dating ability of Gay Males and Lesbians.  Detecting biological sex is also hard-wired and doesn’t change because of the massive strides in surgical mimicry.
0863C41B-D209-40EF-915F-CD1B048E13A4

I watched two gay men discussing this on Arty Morty’s youtube.  Duncan, a gay man, tells a tale about identifying the one other gay man in a nightclub before either of them were out.  Calum here is being disingenuous.

Closely followed by Gemma who extends this to deny we have any ability to correctly “gender” people.  Er. We can sex them though!B9E652E0-DC02-4CF5-B1D9-AEA4C8E80B53

This is duplicitous stuff.  We don’t just detect sex for mating purposes. Women detect males because it has a huge impact on how we manage our safety in certain settings.  This ideology tells us a) that  it is bigotry to recognise biological reality b) tells us we have to accept bearded males as females and even lesbians!  Cue Alex Drummond.
Stonewall Ambassador! 👇

C0DD8BAB-2DAA-458F-B19F-056F4A548428

Alex has delivered school talks about being a Lesbian!  This is Gaslighting!

I too would like to see some understanding of different sexualities and family structures.  The fact remains that most people live in heterosexual couples. It cannot be beyond our wit to make sure that children know there are different family structures. Not all of the children will end up in heterosexual relationships. I have no objection to this being signalled, even in primary school. This would allow  chidren who may already have pre-sexual, innocent crushes, on the same sex, feel “normal”.  We don’t have to wage a culture war on heterosexual norms just because heterosexual relationships are the majority.

You will not achieve acceptance for one sexuality if you attack another’s as somehow “invalid”.   It really isn’t a good tactic.   The sex denialism in Gender Identity Ideology is unmoored from biological reality and sexual desire.  There is a conflict with the protection of women’s rights to sex segregated spaces and the right to be exclusively same sex attracted.   The sooner politicians and Gay Rights Activists wake up to this the better.

We risk reversing progress made over 30 years!

Queering the NSPCC? Part 9: Asexuality

Coming out as Asexual!

The NSPCC/ChildLine content manages to have two young women who come out as Asexuals.   Their content seems to have no space for Lesbians/Gay males unless a) they don’t mention the word Lesbian b) they identify as Queer and acknowledge the fluidity of sexual attraction.  Yet this niche identity (asexual)  is given two out of the 24 videos on  LGBTQ+ content.

Here is a transcript which covers both videos: Asexuality on Childline Yasmin and Amelia

You can watch them  here: Yasmin  and Amelia here.

Yasmin talks us through the trauma of multiple exits from the closet and the need to educate the bemused recipients of the asexual  announcements.  People have a lot of controversial opinions about Yasmin’s experience and seem a tad confused.   I am not sure what Yasmin has, or has not, done to generate this confusion.  Apparently ChildLine seem to think this is a pressing issue to cover so they have helpfully signposted more content on asexuality to clear up any confusion. B3969325-E344-49AB-BA01-42AA750A4C4A

Amelia tells us that she also got confused after all the interrogation,  oops reasonable questions, that came her way.  This is the logical conclusion of the Queer take-over of, once venerable, Gay Rights organisations.  Pretty much everyone fits under the  Queer umbrella these days. These new identities are an insult to the very real fight to get legal protections for Sexual orientation.EB5A5874-5666-48B6-9B43-68C0CEF57DA7

Another recurrent feature of the ChildLine content is the reckless promotion of YouTube content.  Narcissists are ten a penny on YouTube. They make their money by attracting viewers, likes and sensational/ pseudo edgy content. For many of them this is their bread and butter and the content is carefully curated to stay relevant.   Not once, in all the LGBTQ+ content, on the ChildLine YouTube,  do they offer any words of caution about the content providers they profile.  It is reckless to use Social Media Influencers in this way.  Their raison d’etre is not Child Safeguarding, it’s maintaining audience, influence  and revenue. This is not compatible with what SHOULD be the aims of ChildLine/NSPCC.

Yasmin’s contribution is, however, nothing compared to the self-absorbed contribution from Amelia. Adolescents, or immature adults, setting themselves up as self-appointed experts, are simply not equipped to give good advice to children /teens.  Amelia is also asexual.  Below is a long excerpt to give you an idea of the word salad being dished out to gullible children.  What a load of (Judith) Butler Bollox. 👇👇

Obfuscation masquerading as Education!

So, asexuality like a lot of things to do with gender and sexuality, is something of a spectrum. Asexual is an identity on it’s own, but it’s also an umbrella term or, erm, like  a spectrum term for a wider group who have similar experiences. There’s demisexuality and grey-asexuality or greysexuality, and these are both identities that fall under  the asexual umbrella. Demisexuality is somebody who doesn’t experience sexual attraction until there’s a strong emotional bond formed. And this isn’t the same thing as like waiting till marriage or something. It’s about not feeling sexual attraction until you are entirely comfortable with someone.”

I predict a great career in Academia for Amelia. Watch out Sally Hines! The next generation is snapping at your heels.

Here is Amelia on Grey-sexuality. I am almost too bored to attempt to define grey-sexuality/grey-asexuality. Seems some people, who fall under the “ACE” umbrella, experience little or no sexuality. Even when they do experience it they may not be able to summon the energy/ inclination to act up on it. This might describe every mum with a new baby / toddler but we just called it “knackered” .

In another revealing quote Amelia seems unable/unwilling to give an honest reflection on what underpins SEXual attraction. In the world of multiple “Gender Identities” , it is an unpardonable offence to acknowledge biological sex. Here is Amelia on sexual attraction 👇Can’t say I have ever fallen in love with a voice but I am sure there is a sexual identity, to cover this, on its way. We could nominate Louis Armstrong for this one.

Lest you confuse asexuality, with people not having sex, Amelia is careful to explain that some asexual people do have relationships and sexual relationships, presumably in an asexual way. Fair play to anyone who can sustain a libido faced with this level of self-absorption!
Do not let our legislators accept this absolutely incoherent ideology as a basis for law.

Fuck The Wokerati; The Surrendered Polyamorous; The Don’t Fuck Me Pumps wearing; The Educate Yourself crowd have destroyed any joy in sexuality. Of any orientation or none.

Queering the NSPCC? Part 8: Sexual Identity and Gender Identity

Steph on Sexuality and Gender Identity.

This is a companion piece to my previous blog on content by ChildLine. I was curious to look at what content kids would encounter if they followed Steph on their main account.  You can read the previous blog, on Steph here.

For those of us with  children, caught up in this, it is really important to understand the evolution of this ideology and how it has been fostered in our young.   ChildLine, as it turns out, is relentless in peddling Gender Ideology, under the badge of LGBTQ+ content.  Our same sex attracted youth are therefore getting signposted to Transgender content, relentlessly,  as I hope I have shown in this series on the NSPCC.

Steph has been given a public platform to explain their experience of being Transgender. I have expressed my misgivings about ChildLine using Social Media influencers in this way. They  may be able to control the content on their channel (which is,  in my view, bad enough) but where is the  due diligence on content only be a few clicks away?  Curious or confused children/teens will explore the content of the contributors.

This is a transcript; which is based on various vidoes on Steph’s YouTube channel: Steph Kyriacou discusses sexuality

This is a public figure, by virtue of the NSPCC/ChildLine connection, and their own social media presence.  It is important that people are able to examine the thought processes underpinning Gender Identity Ideology.  Put crudely this is the idea some people are #BornInTheWrongBody. I regard this generation of Social Media advocates as victims of the same ideology using them as mouth pieces.  I have nothing but compassion for the young women, and men, caught up in this belief system.  However those in Senior roles, at the NSPCC, are entirely culpable for the, uncritical, dissemination of Gender Identity Ideology, to vulnerable children/teens.

Am I bisexual?

First up are some quotes from this YouTube video from August 2019. Am I bisexual?

In this post, Steph acknowledges a struggle to accept their same sex attraction when they identified as a Lesbian.  Now, a post Testosterone, post double mastectomy, self-identified man, they find themselves also attracted to “men” and struggling to come out.

So, we have a clear acknowledgment they struggled to accept their same sex attraction. There is a rather moving post about how their, Greek Orthodox, grandparents accepted them coming out as a Transgender man. Yet no parallel “coming out” story, as a Lesbian, to relatives,

A later clip from that same video explains that Steph is now struggling to accept their attraction to “men”. They made this announcement on Bi-Visibility Day. Multiple “coming outs” are a feature of many of the young Social Influencers who’s content seems mainly driven adopting new “identities”. or Sexualities.

Trans Firsts!

Here is some of Steph’s content, from September 2018, on Trans Firsts: https://youtu.be/7v6E1gkVFtU

Influenced by YouTube content, Steph went ahead and bought their first binder. In secret. Without telling another soul. Bearing in mind that the NSPCC is promoting this YouTuber and it only took me a couple of clips to access all Steph’s on line content. Other low points are a product review for “packers” i.e. a prosthetic penis which, they advise their younger viewers, are available from Sex Shops. Below is another common occurrence. The YouTubers often reference other prominent “trans guys” and how much influence they had on their own “journey”.

Dating as a Trans Guy!

Next up, also from September 2018, is a post on Dating as a Trans Guy: https://youtu.be/D0ezulmqhvg

Here are some quotes. I had to condense some of the comments but the original content is linked above so you can see I have not distorted the intent.

An unexpected development, as Steph explains, is the change to their, perceived, dating pool since coming out as a man.

I will return to the above interpretation in an earlier YouTube, by Steph.

Here Steph re-calibrates who is expected to be in their dating pool. Before identifying as a man heterosexual females were accepted as being off limits. Steph listed the multiple ways females are now identifying. Lesbians, Pan (sexual) girls, bi (sexual) girls, queer girls etc. However Steph always believed “straight” girls were off limits, until they were a “Man”.

Unlike the many male, often fully male-bodied, “Lesbians” ; who feel entitled to be in a Lesbian dating pool, Steph, now embraces? accepts? being excluded by females who are attracted to females.

This would almost be a refreshing change, if Trans-Identified males accepted their exclusion from Lesbian dating pools. What is absolutely heart-breaking is a same sex attracted female doing a reverse #CottonCeiling and prioritising their gender identity over their sex, and sexual attraction.

Steph, in this video, has a revelation about the new inclusion of straight girls in their dating pool. Its astonishing how dismissive this movement is about sexual orientation whether gay, lesbian or hetereosexual. The tone in which the “whatever, you do you, date whoever you want” has a, not so subtle, under-current of disdain for the bigotted, dick loving, straight girls.

Guess what Steph? You don’t get to decide who includes you in their dating pools. You might well find yourself excluded from Lesbian dating preferences. They love women and you are in flight from your sex and, seemingly, your sexual orientation. Personally I would exclude any male who remains heterosexual but wishes to identify as a woman. I don’t want anyone in flight from their sex in my sex life! Or anyone who fetishises my own sex, but that’s a different story.

Drunk Chat : Two Trans Guys!

Next up is from March 2017. https://youtu.be/aF-PCVqUV68 Steph and another “trans guy” are having a bit of a drunk chat about some of their social experiences and being mis-identified. I assume the intermittent burping is based on an assumption that this is what boys do? (I mean, they might but it looks a little bit performative to me…) . This video explicity tells you that you can try to teach a “Cis-Person “the right way of thinking”. Yes they really did say this. If the Cis-Person doesn’t learn and respect your identity then, apparently, you can tell them to Fuck Off! I don’t think there is any self-awareness that redefining the rest of the population as “Cis” is hardly a marker of respect for who we are….Just ARE. Not something we identify as….

This was what triggered the backlash against the Cis Community.. Somebody mistook them for Lesbians and Women. Oh The HORROR!

Coming Out via a Revolving Door!

Next up is from January 2017 and is a retrospective review of Steph’s , multiple, coming out stories. https://youtu.be/HZLKBjxzkB8

Steph had crushes on girls but did not really understand this was what they were. At age 16 they started to get asked questions from their friends about their sexuality. Friends began asking them if they were “bisexual” . Steph, at this point, is adamant that they were in fact straight. This was a very emphatic statement no doubt reflective of the lack of acceptance, in her school that Steph highlights.

Here Steph acknowledges her struggle to accept her Lesbian sexuality at age 16. This is still such a difficult time for young people; who can be aware of being different long before understanding their sexual orientation. While Stonewall are busy, chasing the Trans Dollar, they are ignoring the homophobia, which never went away. It is still incredibly difficult to come to terms with same sex attraction. Those of us with gay offspring know this. We would have welcomed better sex education in school to foster acceptance of different sexual orientations. However this opportunity has been squandered because of the nefarious inclusion of “Gender Identity Ideology”. The new sex education is actively harmful for our gay youth. I would go to prison before I would accept the compulsory indoctrination of our kids in Queer Theory. Here is some research on the negative impact of homophobia on Gender Identity.

Homophobic Bullying & Gender Identity

As you can see above. Steph followed a familiar path in first identifying as Bisexual and then finally acknowledging their exclusive sexual attraction to females. HALLELULAH!

It did not last long, sadly. Steph gives us a detailed, if somewhat convoluted, explanation about ditching the label Gay Woman to identify as non-binary. This was a stepping stone to identifying as Queer; because if you don’t identify with either sex how can you be homosexual?

Next up in the mulitple identity disorders, Steph finally identifies as a Trans Man.

As Steph says, they have come out multiple times over the period of six years. The final irony is, in order to embrace their same sex orientation, they identify as a man attracted to other men. It turns out this includes transmen. Hey presto. You can identify as a gay man, keep your queer label and choose someone from the same sex as your partner. Turns out this is exactly what Steph did. Acknowledged their attraction to male, met a boy they liked. Boy then became their boyfriend. I had a look and the new boyfriend was another YouTuber, Nate, who is also a trans man.

We are through the looking glass.

Queering the NSPCC? Part 7: Trans Identity

Trans Identity :  Steph

You can watch it here

You can read a transcript here Trans Identity Steph

Here Steph talks, to Cora,  about the need for Trans Visibility and the difficulties of being “trans” .  These were highlighted by a  list of perceived injustices and lots of instructions about how to be a Trans Ally.  The abuse that Steph relates is  focussed on being perceived  as female and treated  accordingly.  This is an important point. Recognition of biological reality is not a learned prejudice.  It’s hard-wired. It’s evolutionary.   It’s not akin to racial prejudice or other socialised bigotry.  It’s a basic recognition system.   This is how Steph defines transphobic behaviour. 👇

A33950FC-10A4-4C31-A9D6-0DABC6EBF43B

The interviewer responds with statistical reports of how unsafe “trans” people feel at school. If this includes “misgendering” calling it abuse is a stretch. At this stage school children are not going to be on cross-sex hormones (normally) under the age of 16.  Hence females who wish to be recognised, as male,  are demanding we validate an identity at odds with biological reality/appearance.

20E013D1-58FC-4F42-A1AC-2B139D0CB036

Whilst many people argue we should just  #BeKind, because this is just  simple courtesy,  in reality we are asked for a lot more  than maintaining a polite fiction. The nature of these demands soon becomes more explicit. Steph regards sex segregated spaces as an affront to their identity.  Therefore they demand that the  privacy and dignity of both sexes should be sacrificed to appease  a tiny minority,  who feel at odds with their biological sex. I would suggest it is no accident that a member of the female sex is presenting this argument. We all know these arguments sound very different when the advocate is a pre-op male.  Once again #SexMatters and this is the reason  a female person, is frequently wheeled out  to demand that women & girls give up our boundaries.

Steph is typical of proponents of Gender Ideology who constantly intones some version of “Educate Yourself” . We have heard this many times so guess what Steph? We did exactly that and what we learned did not reassure us. Not. One. Iota.

This is a rather gentle introduction which begins with a suggestion that any re-education begins gently.. but “and then if they refuse to listen, you can just block them”

It is well worth counting up how many times we are enjoined to educate ourselves; whilst being presented with incoherent narratives to explain what being Transgender encompasses. Some people may identify as male or female. Some identify as neither. Some move between male and female and are Gender Fluid. Some will have surgery and hormones, others either or neither. We are being asked to believe six impossible things before breakfast.

Not content with proselytising this ideology personally Steph also demands State sponsored “education” which inculcates children in Gender Identity Ideology.

In fact transgender guidance packs are being rolled out to most schools. Yet so many of them have been removed because they have been found to be unlawful, particularly around legal duties under the , legally, protected characteristic of Sex. It is concerning to see the NSPCC endorsing this ideology and completely ignoring the significant impact on the rights of girls.

Already Local Authorities have been forced to withdraw the guidance they have been placing in schools. Warwickshire, Cornwall, Shropshire, Barnsley are just a few of the councils who have withdrawn their guidance. This followed complaints/ Legal Challenge. Organisations like Safe Schools Alliance and Transgender Trend have been at the forefront of challenging this guidance. I have read multiple packs myself and wrote this blog about how they treat parents. Putting the Loco in Loco Parentis. Cannot stress enough to CHECK THE SCHOOL GUIDANCE.

Another striking , and worrying, aspect of the ChildLine YouTube are the alerts to what they believe is related /appropriate content.

Here Steph talks about being in an environment, where they are not respected and understood. The context is not honouring preferred pronouns and Gender Identity. What pops as suggested content? An article about suicide by another ChildLine Contributor. The use of the suicide narrative is a deeply problematic aspect of the campaigns for “Transgender Children’s” rights. I have written about this here. Suicide in the Trans Community

Here is another link to suggested content. 👇

We have already established the low bar for defining things as “Transphobic” but here ChildLine suggests content on dealing with “Hate Crime”. The afore-mentioned School packs on “Transgender Guidance” are also overly keen to badge benign comments as Hate Crimes and some even include a form to facilitate reporting staff and pupils to the police! In the guidance written for Cornwall the pack is even co-written with a serving Police Officer & Transphobia is highlighted as a crime! 👇

Here the ChildLine lines up more content on Transgender Issues. These signpost medical transition for non-binaries and one promotes access to Puberty Blockers.

I covered Alex Bertie and Charlie Martin, talking about Puberty in an earlier part of my series on NSPCC/ChildLine Content. On Steph’s personal YouTube account we learn it was Alex Bertie who first attracted Steph to binding their breasts. Alex Bertie was also promoting a specific brand , of binder, on their youtube account.

This content I also covered. Fox Fisher is a well known Trans Activist. Mr Lewzer is a trans-identifying female who has a following for comedic content; where they pose as their bearded mother. I know from my own offspring that Mr Lewzer’s content is very popular with Gender Confused teens.

My next piece will be a look at the belief system of this ChildLine contributor. The NSPCC seems to have a strategy of harnessing the Social Media presences of these young people. Unfortunately many of them have content that is deeply damaging to confused children /teens. Indeed many of the ones with Gender Identity Issues appear to have significant struggles of their own. Children are being directed to content which seems to immerse them in the topic. Nowhere does the NSPCC. raise concerns /flag that YouTube content is not always a reliable source. In fact, many of their interviewees sing the praises of YouTube content. This is not entirely surprising since many of them make money, even a living out of their content.

Queering the NSPCC? Part 6: Pansexual

What does it mean to be Pansexual?

This episode features an interview with Gemma here to educate us about pansexuality.

You can watch it here

You can read a transcript Pan Sexuality Gemma NSPCC

As far as I can ascertain pansexual is a Woke version of bisexual designed to elide the “sex” in sexual and divorce it from sexual attraction. In the grand scheme of things this, I assume, makes no difference to bisexuals,  who are attracted to both sexes. Where it becomes problematic is the idea that same sex orientation (a legally protected characteristic in the U.K.) is somehow outdated and insufficiently inclusive of anyone of the opposite sex. It seems designed to mandate inclusion of anyone who has a “Gender Identity” at odds with their biological sex.   Anyone paying attention will know that activists frequently describe exclusive same sex orientation as “transphobic”.  See #CottonCeiling and, latterly #BoxerCeiling.  The creeping invalidation of exclusion, on the grounds of sex, has a particular resonance for the Gay community who have only recently, 2010 in the UK, achieved their legally protected status.

The framing of the discussion is interesting. First of all Gemma explains what pansexuality means.👇 As you can see there are no exclusions from Genma’s dating pool. She includes everyone. Regardless of sex, or presentation. 96E0AD78-8CEF-41FB-8B78-293AE4FD1479

The next sentence  implies some moral superiority to Gemma’s stance with this glib statement. Gemma has an all-seeing ability to see beyond such superficial fripperies of biological sex to the essence of what a person is. Whatever that means!  The implication is that people operating a dating pool based on sexual orientation are somehow basing this on surface level judgements.  This is the subtle shaming at play.

D724C095-3C3A-4661-AB8A-AD835A6AC365

This professed ability, expressed by a young woman, could merely be dismissed as the righteousness of naive youth. Unfortunately it has infected our body politic as demonstrated by Pansexual Layla, recent candidate for the Leadership of the Liberal Democrat’s and also a pansexual.  Here’s Layla on her stance on access to single sex spaces.  You can find this clip on Hansard (A written record of U.K parliamentary proceedings.)

Next up Poppy repeats another fallacy; which is propagated relentlessly in this “debate”. The idea that science has discovered some new facts that prove Humans are not sexually dimorphic is pure propaganda.

E790A65A-211C-4835-91E4-89C6A01C8D16

Nothing has changed Poppy!  Except the emergence of an  ideology predicated on convincing society the shape shifting idea of “Gender” has to take primacy over Biological Sex.  Claire Ainsworth’s article is routinely quoted to argue that biological sex has been debunked, Here is what she had to say along with a similiar statement by Professor Curtis.

At the risk of repeating myself, here is the result of research into the prevalence of chromosomal abnormalities in referrals to Gender Identity clinics.  They are not a statistically, significant feature and hence routine karyotype tests, to determine chromosomal abnormalities, were abandoned some years ago.

51D27DA6-0FFB-40BC-B9FA-847FD380DF24

If anyone wants to know why “intersex” conditions or, Differences/Disorders of sexual development, figure so prominently in this discussion I cover it in this blog; based on the work of an autogynephilic (AGP)  transsexual.  The argument centres on a psychological need for AGP males to claim a biological basis for their condition, a sort of “intersex brain”.  It drove the diagnostic criteria for Gender Dysphoria and is, in my view. key to understanding the landscape and the trans activists mind set.

This is why young activists make nonsensical claims such as these 👇.

715BCBA4-2B81-4C0C-B8EB-01C725FAFAC3

If it was just a bunch of young people spouting this, and it wasn’t influencing laws /public policy, I could be sanguine about the folly of youth.  I used to like the Bay City Rollers. Unfortunately this type of thinking is now widespread across our media and has a footing in every political party.

So where did Gemma come across the term pansexual asks Poppy.  To no great surprise, here is her answer.
EBF2BBAB-20F7-4F0F-BEED-F040C376F5AE

I will accept all and every criticism that I am being a bit ageist in my dismissal of Generation Gemma.  I am.  Gemma has a benevolent ageism  of her own going on.  After providing us with her understanding of the development of the nomenclature from bisexual to pansexual, Gemma offers a dispensation for anyone to choose which label suits them or to reject them all (How Generous!).  Though you may need to use the term bisexual to explain it to parents and grandparents because “I think it’s easier for them to understand and grasp”.  Gee, thanks for thinking of us! Is this what’s known as an unreaonable adjustment? Not patronising at all.

No interview on this topic would be complete without reference to living authentically, bullying, and the need to keep safe. If anyone has any statistics the pansexual murder rate, do let me know. Gemma also recommends  joining your local LGBT group (I would avoid at all costs for any kid confused about their sexuality.).   ChildLine are also recommended, as you would expect.  If I have not convinced you to avoid like the plague, by now, one of us has failed.

Queering the NSPCC? Part Five: Trans Puberty Myths

Trans Puberty Myths

This episode features an interview with Charlie Martin, who is an adult transitioner, YouTuber and racing driver. Alongside Charlie is Alex Bertie, who is also YouTuber who covered their transition on line.

You can watch it Here

You can read a transcript here: Trans Puberty Myths

Right off the bat the intervewer uses the phrase “Gender assigned at birth”.  Once again!  Nobody is assigned a Gender at birth. Sex is observed and recorded. The number of people, where there is any ambiguity , necessitating an “assigned sex” is infinitesimally small. These are people with differences/disorders of sexual development (DSDs), sometimes referred to as Intersex. The latter nomenclature has fallen out of favour because it others sufferers as somehow outside of the sex binary. In fact the various conditions are all associated with either the male or female sex.

To provide further clarity it is important that people avoid confusing people with DSDs  with people who reject their birth sex. The rate of chromosomal abnormalities in the trans community is no more significant than in society at large. Research conducted, in the U.K. , resulted in the abandonment of Karyotype tests, to identify these conditions, in referrals to Gender Identity Clinics.. Quote below 👇. Full article  Here

The interviewer commences by highlighting how puberty is worse for “trans” people. At face value this seems a reasonable assumption. Presumably, if you believe you are about to enter a “wrong puberty” it could  exacerbate pubertal distress, or, arguably, displace it.   I would have  liked to have seen more emphasis on the fact that struggling with a female puberty is hardly rare. Dealing with the onset of menstruation/ budding breasts is a difficult time for *ALL* females. It is perfectly normal to struggle with puberty and to feel at odds with your sexed body.  This cannot be over-emphasised. I have seen more than one de-transitioned female wish they had known this was something many other girls experienced.

The interviewer is  also dangerously quick to highlight that blocking puberty is an option. Additionally, after this statement, 👇 they even highlight options to change GP if they are not sympathetic (acquiescent?) with  access medical intervention.  We are not talking about smarties here! This is a very serious medical intervention with irreversible consequences.

6DDFE1B9-2AD5-4BDB-90E6-8E0B1EB57772

Neither Alex or Charlie had their puberty blocked,  Alex presents puberty blocking drugs  as something  you can simply stop taking and changes will resume. In fact virtually all children put on puberty blockers don’t go back, they invariably progress to cross sex hormones.  This is a medical experiment. We have never before blocked a natural puberty in its entirety.

Both Charlie and Alex are keen to dispel any connection between your “gender” and your sexuality.  Both profess to be  fluid about their sexual orientation according to their YouTube channels. Alex presents an episode on whether they are Gay.  Starts off identifying as bisexual because they had dated males and females. They then  had a long relationship with a girl so identified as a Lesbian.  Once they discovered their trans identity they briefly identified as straight. They then reverted to bisexual until they discovered pansexual. (Attraction to all “genders” and more politically acceptable than implying sex plays a role in your attraction). Here is the YouTube:   Am I gay?

BBB092A9-78D8-469B-8D4A-F6716E03A05D

Alex seems to have had one long relationship with another trans man i.e. a female.  Latterly, post testosterone & double mastectomy they report dating “cis guys” . Interestingly they seem to only lose the power of speech around an attractive girl.   Here is a link to their YouTube where  they talkabo ut their experience on Grindr, a dating site for homosexual males.  Alex reports having the  weird experience of being asked about their genitals by Gay men.  I remember the days when we used to think it was “weird” for females to assume gay men should include them in their dating pools.  Link here.  I’m Dating

Charlie Martin’s YouTube is similarly of a sexually fluid nature.  Pre-Sexual Reassignment surgery they report only being attracted to “girls”. Post SRS they report that their sexual encounters, so far, had been with males.  This is not uncommon in later transitioners with a background (and present) in stereotypically masculine pursuits. Early reports of validation by men flirting with Charlie, as a women, are not uncommon in this section of the Trans community.  There is a fine line between needing validation , as a woman, and re-orienting your sexuality around that need, Could that explain the fluid sexuality?

The reiterated claim that gender is entirely disconnected from your sexuality suits a particular trans-narrative. 👇. It seems harmless until it challenges  same sex orientation and the idea that restricting your dating pool to your own sex is “transphobic” .  If you are unfamiliar with this idea search #CottonCeiling.  There used to be a straight male joke about really being a “Lesbian”. Sadly this is now a common feature on Lesbian dating apps who are awash with Zero Effort Trans “male Lesbians”.

D68045AE-EB9B-4E45-B3BB-46B003AD1DC6

There follows an interesting discussion about whether there is such a thing as male or female pursuits. Mermaids, a Trans Charity for children, has only recently disavowed the notion that toy preferences can indicate you may be trans. This idea does permeates Gender Identity Ideology.  You can read more about this here

Charlie tells us they had typical preferences for boys,  Alex tells us he only felt the need to reject anything considered “girly” to avoid sowing doubt about their “trans status” in their parents minds.  👇

As we all know Gender is largely a performance.  The stakes, however, are higher if you are permanently required to deny your sex and convince onlookers to play along with the illusion.  Charlie’s YouTube offers and interesting perspective from the point of view of a self-proclaimed “uber masculine” male and their journey to finding their female identity.  Well worth a look at their content to get some insight as to how “women” are assumed to feel.  Expect lots of references to make-up, shopping, and girly nights out complete with joint visits to the Ladies Loo! here

Queering the NSPCC? Part Four: Queer Bodies

ChildLine Queer Bodies

This is the fourth in a series looking at ChildLine content and how it  promotes Transgender Ideology to children /teens. Gender Identity Ideology saturates their content. Some  examples are more egregious than others.  This interview 👇, for example, has some good content. It begins with a discussion about pressures on children / teens in the Queer community or LGBTQ+. The subject of the interview would appear to be a  Gay male (Roly) who formerly  identified as a twink  and now has moved on to identify as non-binary and Gender Fluid.

Here is the link to the youtube Link

Here is a transcript: Queer Bodies Alana and Roly

AE055766-3B1C-4862-A45F-0D7D1D7C816C

Pressures on Gay Men

It begins well. The two discuss pressure on Gay men to  present as “preened and buff“.  Roly highlights an internal contradiction. He  finds these images appealing  whilst, simultaneously, acknowledging the pressure it generates. He is also  keen to point out that he doesn’t judge people on their bodies.  Nevertheless he felt drawn to identify as a twink because it best fits his body type.  One requirement of the twinkdom was to remain skinny and, Roly reveals, this did lead him into an eating disorder.  There is increasing research into eating disorders in gay men so this is an important point to make. We are much more aware of eating disorders in females, and too little attention is given to pressures on homosexual males.  If you are attracted to your own sex, who you find attractive may foster self-criticism  on how you measure up to your own erotic target. This is a particular pressure for same sex attracted males that is worthy of consideration.  If you are a femme gay male attracted to hyper masculine men, could  this pressure motivate  a retreat from identifying as male?  I would have liked to see that explored here.

Alana does, at least, recognise the existence of Lesbian women who, she suggests, “may feel she has to be a lipstick lesbian or a butch lesbian”.   Unfortunately marred by the preceding comment that these pressures co-exist with “trying to work out what your gender is” . My rejoinder is that  10 years ago this pressure didn’t exist!  It’s ubiquity, now, shows every sign of being iatrogenic, Endless content, such as this,  in the ChildLine youtube channel is fostering this disassociation from biological reality.

Segues into Trans Identity.

Thus, after a token consideration of the L & G,   the conversation moves on to claim  how much harder this is for Trans people. The remainder of the interview is all about the T.  This seems to be the standard trajectory, a nod to the homosexual community, quickly  followed by discussion diverting to yet more  Transgender Ideology.

E625B773-0DE3-4AB3-B1CC-1035C72856AA

Non-Binary /Gender Fluid

Roly then informs us that he finds it difficult to accept that he is non-binary because he failed to have androgynous role models. Perhaps he should have dug a little deeper into the history of gay men and Gender Non-conforming women?  👇

C9897523-BFF4-4234-9C35-7008F68339EC

After he came out as Gender Fluid, he informs us, “people would look at me and be like but you look you’re a man and so it was a long long journey for me”.  A good therapist, at this point, would perhaps unpick what underpins this claim to be Gender Fluid.  It’s clearly not the way they present and nobody would interpret him as anything other than a biological male.

CE02453B-7D8C-43DB-8645-2D5E48CC4140

ChildLine on YouTube

Another feature of these videos is how effusive the interviewers are about YouTube as a source for support and information. Roly is not alone in saying how much YouTube content helped him find role models.  The better approach would be to reference to how prominent YouTubers carefully curate their content to present an image to their subscribers. Their platform built on an identity and maintaining it can be vital to  continued revenue streams. Typically the Transgender content will be celebratory, not critical. A children’s charity should offer a more skeptical commentary on social influencers. Instead their marketing team seem to be have won the day and collaborations with social media influencers are commonplace.

Gendered Bodies?

Roly provides a rather messianic rant about the imposition of bodily expectations on cross-gendered identities.  Forget what you thought you knew about transsexuals. There is no longer any expectation, on people  who reject their biological sex, to make any effort to assimilate.  The expectations are now on society, to unlearn biological facts, to accept people for who they say they are.   Roly provides this advice/instruction for how to live in the New World Order.

E4743D1D-6FD8-4334-83DC-839CF588A247

Again, for emphasis, Roly is here endorsing the idea of the Gendered Brain, The idea that Gender Identity exists in the brain,  This performs two functions that harm women. First it endorses the idea of #LadyBrain. Long used to explain why women are unsuited to certain job roles or positions of power. I am not a proponent of blank slate theory. I don’t dismiss some hard-wired differences, related to evolution. However women have always had to contest this area. to separate the science from the propaganda.  Here are two  books that cover this area.

93A37C35-2776-4601-AAB5-13D9793D0B0376A1BF46-CADF-4CB1-89F2-9AF81135D6A2

Maybe  our non-binary friend should have undertaken some reading before he posed this head scratcher.

Without a shred of self-awareness this is what Alana thinks she has done with this interview.

Teaching children not to obsess ❌. Teaching children to accept themselves ❌.

Nope. This is exactly the opposite of what you achieved with this interview.

82C365F9-BD07-45C1-830E-D6BAA3CF917B

ChildLine content is not fostering self-acceptance. It is contributing to the inculcation of Gender Dysporia, Bodily disassociative disorders and relentlessly pushing Gender Identity Ideology. I wonder if Esther Rantzen has had a look at it lately?

Queering the NSPCC? Part Three: Coming Out Stories

Lesbian Erasure?

ChildLine : Coming Out Stories

0CEE6DC4-22AD-4A6E-8772-35552BF58CAF

In the third of my posts on the NSPCC, child protection charity, I looked at Coming Out Stories, involving three females and one male.  Callum is a gay male. One of the females identifies as assexual , one bisexual and , despite watching this, and transcribing it, I still don’t know what the final girl identifies as. 😳. This is a video about coming out and , as far as I can tell, Maja didn’t actually come out as anything!  What was noticeable was, out of the three females, not one came out as Lesbian.

Here is a link to the youtube https://youtu.be/wzw6rGDMqX0

Here is a transcript: ChildLine Coming Out stories Transcription

First question is directed at Calum. He is given, by far, the most air time in this piece. He was aware of his sexuality at a young age and began talking about it, age 8. He soon realised his class mates were not receptive and retreated back into the closet until his early teens. When he did come out, to his parents, they had a hard time accepting it. Calum is thoughtful about his parents attitude and offers a generous interpretation of his parents attitude Whether or not his assessment is overly kind they did get over their misgivings and, thankfully, all is resolved with his family.

Next up is Amelia. Amelia is assexual. She explains that she didn’t realise this until other teenagers started talking about sex. At first, she claims, she thought they were just talking about sex because adults and people on the television were talking about it. When the penny dropped that they actually wanted to have sex she realised her identity. There’s a lot of giggling at this revelation. I am sceptical whether a teenage girl could be so naive about sexual desire but ,as they say, this is her, self-proclaimed, “lived experience”.

4F3D0D04-7412-4A3A-B86D-579CF3026AEC

Next up is Jenny. She came out as bisexual by casually dropping it into conversation with friends and family. The response, she says is basically “cool”. Only later, when the interviewer, Declan, probed for more negative reactions does she reveal less positive reception. Not abuse, just querying her claim to be a bisexual, whilst in a relationship with a heterosexual male. There’s a bit of baffled incomprehension that people can be so ignorant and Jenny, cue laughter, explains

E7E3B5C6-9873-4506-B03E-B723111E35DB

Next up is Maja. Her experience was that her family never assumed she was straight so she never really needed to come out. If you watch the whole thing you will find that she never actually comes out, in this video, either.

902BE539-C514-4881-AE17-9BB62FA4B7E5

The really positive thing about this video is that all seem to have had relatively easy times coming out (or not) to friends and family. Coming out, as not being into sex p, is a new one for sexual orientations. I suspect most parents would be sanguine about an assexual teenage daughter. It’s unlikely to be high on a list of fears for their daughters, Most of us likely expect a change of heart but that’s another matter.

Another notable feature of the interview is the need to elicit reports of negative reaction. Amelia, the assexual, does urge caution in coming out, in case of abuse or enforced homelessness. I don’t dismiss the vulnerability of sexual minorities to parental rejection, particularly those from some religious homes. I am not sure, however, there are any faiths which would cast you out for being assexual. However I remain concerned that the same may not be true for homosexual teens. Amelias listed the groups vulnerable to prejudice, when coming out, and included trans but didn’t reference Lesbians. Is it only Lesbian love which is the love that dare not speak its name?

Sexual Fluidity.

Maja proffers. another explanation for the lack of an explicit coming out. #SexualFluidity. This is a new narrative, which conforms to Gender Identity Ideology, that sexual orientation is not fixed. On one level letting young women have time to embrace their sexuality seems uncontentious but it does sit uneasily when Lesbians and, to a lesser extent, gay males are being told their, exclusive, Genital preferences are prejudiced and can be overcome. E72A1969-8727-451D-BB81-0FF417CB79B5

This interpretation of sexual orientation is further elaborated by Calum who shares a tale which also claims sexual orientation is not fixed. There is debate about the origins of sexuality , nature v nurture etc. However Gay Rights Activists gained protected status on the basis their sexual orientation was not simply a (lifestyle) choice. 👇

B8991C65-BB7F-49FB-BB47-B293C50C76CB

Overall I am left with more than a vague unease that no Lesbians figure in these coming out stories. There also seems to be a worrying lack of confidence to claim an incontrovertible same sex orientation.

Stop Press

Further to publishing this article I have been informed that the Calum, featured here, is a YouTuber in his own account. Notorious for faking this homophobic attack covered in this article https://attitude.co.uk/article/british-youtube-star-calum-mcswiggan-hospitalised-following-suspected-homophobic-attack/11201/

He was subsequently discovered to have made a false allegation https://www.washingtonblade.com/2016/06/29/police-say-gay-youtuber-faked-hate-crime/

I also had a look at his YouTube account and found some more interesting content https://youtu.be/ur46Kx8V7XA

Calum apologises for associating Men with Penises and Woman with Vaginas. He warns his audience that if you express disgust at vaginas you never know if the Gay Man next to you has a vagina. He further assures his audience that he would include them in his dating pool.

8B0831E9-35D8-46EC-AA1A-426A42CC9176

.He also weighed in on the recent, manufactured, controversy after JK Rowling stated some basic facts about biology and same sex attraction.

30268D64-9506-4BAE-9DDC-30116E7C1959

We need a new Gay Liberation Front. One unashamed to defend same sex orientation. Hence LGB Alliance.

Queering the NSPCC? Part Two: What it means to be Transgender.

Featured

ChildLine YouTube Content.

Following on from part one I began to look at how the ChildLine youtube account and noticed it was saturated in Trans Ideology.  Thus far I have not found any Lesbian content.  I am still working my way through and will post any content that validates actual, same sex attracted, Lesbians.  Yes, I know I should not need to clarify that same sex orientation involves biological sex.

Since 2006 ChildLine  is run by the NSPCC.  The NSPCC isn’t just any children’s charity. It is the only one with statutory powers to remove children from parents. This is enshrined in law to facilitate the removal of children from abusive parents. How the NSPCC decides  what constitutes abuse, matters.  The  NSPCC is so saturated in Queer Theory and the idea that children are #BornInTheWrongBody. What happens if the definition of abuse  covers parents who refuse to medicalise “trans-identifying kids?  Anyone watching what is happening in Canada will know this is not far fetched.  A Canadian father lost his battle to prevent his daughter accessing Puberty Blockers and Cross Sex hormones. His contact with his daughter has been, legally,  restricted to on-line interactions, for three years.  An initial judgement informed him that refusing to use preferred pronouns would be treated as “family violence”.   You can read the full judgement here

This clip is illustrative of how far parental responsibility is being undermined in Canada.  👇

With this context in mind I decided to work through ChildLine content to see what our kids are learning from ChildLine.  This is the second post on this topic. The first covers what the NSPCC/ChildLine are teaching our children about porn.  Queering the NSPCC? Part One.

What it means to be Transgender?

The topic of this log is a ChildLine youtube  on What it means to be Transgender.  The interviewees were  Fox Fisher, who identifies as Non-Binary,  and Mr Lewzer who identifies as a transman. Fisher is a relatively well known trans activist who has appeared in NHS guidance, School Transgender packs  and in the media.  MrLewzer  is a Transman with a popular youtube channel.  Mr Lewzer has also appeared in NHS training guidance as provided by the Transgender Lobby group GIRES. The video begins with an attempt at a definition of what it means to be Transgender.  Fisher tells us that this means you don’t “feel connected to the Gender they were assigned at birth”.  Claiming that sex is “assigned” at birth is pure Trans Ideology. Sex is simply observed and recorded in all but an, infinitesimally, small number of cases.  For some people, born with disorders/differences in sexual development, it  may not be straightforward.  The baby may need chromosomal/ karyotype  tests.  Discussion of trans identity often conflates these very different issues.  There is no evidence that there is a significant correlation between people with DSDs and people with a Transgender Identity. Indeed, in the U.K., research was undertaken which resulted in the discontinuation of karyotype testing, at Gender Identity Clinics.  Source for this 👇 quote here

Defining the undefinable

There’s lots more incoherent & inconsistent statements about “gender” . Gender is a spectrum between male and female; but some people don’t identify with either; and it’s really an individual choice.  Valiant attempts are made to separate “Gender Expression“ from “Gender Identity” but they all return to superficial signifiers like dress and hair. . Good luck codifying “Gender Identity” into law based on these  nebulous descriptions. Gender Identity is a faith based and subjective belief system.  Best stick with the fact that we are Sexually Dimorphic and reserve compassion for the tiny number of people with DSDs who genuinely need some specific accommodations.

Hallelujah!

Mr Lewzer explains that some people wish to modify their body but some do not. Mr Lewzer tells us It’s a misconception that hormones and surgery make you a man or a woman”

Sadly this display of logic was short-lived.   In a further elucidation of the point we are told, regardless of any bodily modification, it is incumbent on the rest of us to accept a Self-identified gender. Acceptance without Exception!

Terminology.  Keep up!

Fox:  “I no longer use the term Female to Male. To me it implies that I was female. I think a lot of people find that problematic”.

Lewzer explains that they do use the term, MTF, for simplicity’s sake. Though they also add:

Amy, the interviewer, helpfully explains that using the language of “ the community“ , is all about being “considerate of what other people feel”.   Tricky territory when this  clip  illustrates the acceptable language is contested even within the community.  The interviewer is also pushing a version of the #BeKind, faux-feminism that places the majority burden, and risk, on females, forced to affirm males as literal females.

Strategic Deployment of “Transmen”

It’s also notable that post-medicalised females are often centred in particular discussions. Testosterone packs a  punch on the female body so, Transmen are often “passing”. Whilst they don’t  typically, present a threat to biological males , in female spaces they are likely to disrupt a social norms. They may find themselves in no-mans land.  If women read you as male they will respond accordingly.  At best they will feel uncomfortable. Male To Female (MTF) are less likely to pass and will be coded male in female spaces.   Fox Fisher helpfully interjects to correct the, problematic terminology of “passing” . Apparently we should not use it  because some people don’t aspire to pass as the opposite sex.  Right.  Thus far it’s as clear as mud.

Amy follows up on her appeal to kindness and adopting trans terminology by demonstrating her willingness to ignore the female community.  Here she explains what Cisgender means, as if it’s an unproblematic definition . 89714988-12D9-48D4-A55B-6B2B29CF59CFIn fact many women reject the idea that we identify with our “Gender” which we see as  a collection of , culturally variable, sex stereotypes.  We don’t , necessarily, identify with our Gender. We simply are our Sex. My response to this is simply

Celebrating Gender Non-Conformity?

Another worrying aspect of this piece is the idea that playing around with your “Gender” is a harmless part of adolescent development.   It is true that teenagers go through a period of personality formation; which can include conformity to, or rejection of, expectations for their sex. It is  normal to be experimenting with how to navigate this the bridge to adulthood. However it is only a recent phenomenon that this has involved considering, or, undertaking, medical pathways. That concretises adolescent playfulness in unprecedented ways.

Mr Lewzer explains how mum was persuaded things would be OK by showing her positive stories of Transitioners. “They looked good, they are happy and healthy and have relationships”. Yes! Mr Lewzer. This is the age of social media when people carefully curate their content  to craft a public persona.  Moreover the next statement is striking for what it leaves out.  Puberty Blockers have been given to children as young as 10, in the U.K. They invariably progress to cross sex hormones.  They are not a reversible intervention.  Confirmation from a Tavistock clinic . Before I leave this post I want to refer to Fox Fisher’s statement about their own bodily distress. Fox tells us they felt a lot of shame about how they felt. “Throughout my teenage years I had not respect for myself, my body, or anything like that. I’d hate for any young person to have to go through that”.  There’s a glaring contradiction at the heart of this ideology.  It is built on bodily rejection, but dressed up as a person liberation and a route to become your authentic self.

The other elephant in the room is that Lesbians and Gay males are no stranger to performing “Gender” in ways that confound societal expectations.  Internalised homophobia can easily manifest itself as shame and bodily hatred.  I have written on this topic many times. The Woke Gay Conversion Therapy?

I want to leave you with Fox Fisher’s statement at a Mermaids summer camp. Youtube original removed but here is archived content.  Fox Fisher   (Worth watching the whole thing which defends 3 year olds knowing they have a Gender Identity that doesn’t match their sex and a court case in which  child was removed from the Mother who was deemed to be, inappropriately, fostering a Social Transition)

I  cannot imagine any other activist being allowed to express this sentiment  👇and remain associated with a charity which proclaims itself as an ally of the LGBTQ+
